Issued to mark the Queens sixty-fifth year on the throne, this piece is one of just 8,000 of its kind. It was struck from sterling silver at the British Royal Mint.

Queen Elizabeth II is depicted in right-side portrait by Jody Clark on the obverse. She is shown with earrings and a diadem. The image is encircled by rim inscriptions that include her name and Latin title, "ELIZABETH II D.G. REG. FID. DEF.," and the coins face value, "5 POUNDS."

A crown serves as the focal point on Glyn Daviess reverse. Next to it is the inscription "MY WHOLE LIFE, WHETHER IT BE LONG OR SHORT, DEVOTED TO YOUR SERVICE."
